Install

Download, open, done.

Mac

  1. Click the Mac button above. The .dmg downloads to your Downloads folder.
  2. Open it and drag Folio to Applications.

Windows

  1. Click the Windows button above. The .exe installer downloads to your Downloads folder.
  2. Run it. Folio installs itself and opens.

Linux

  1. Click the Linux button above. The .AppImage downloads to your Downloads folder.
  2. Make it executable with chmod +x Folio_amd64.AppImage and run it. The AppImage is Folio itself.

Agents

Connect your agent to Folio.

Folio serves the open workspace over MCP.

  1. Under Settings → MCP, switch on Enable MCP server. It takes effect immediately. No restart needed.
  2. Choose Open Terminal in Folio and launch your agent of choice. Folio adds its server to the workspace's .mcp.json, so any agent that reads that file and speaks MCP over HTTP is connected automatically.
